We are really pleased that Lesley Glover is to join the Festival Management Committee as our Volunteer Co-ordinator after seeing our call for help in the Listing magazine. Lesley has a weath of experience in this area.

 

She says: "As a parent, my volunteering started with toddler group, progressed to Tannery Drift PTA and The Friends of Meridian School committee. For many years I was on the fundraising committee for Cancer Research. More recently I have been a Timebank volunteer, a dog walker and a driver for the Royston Community Transport scheme. For eleven years I was the Voluntary Services Manager at Garden House Hospice in Letchworth. I have experience of co-ordinating and working alongside volunteers. I hope to encourage local people to help the Festival committee and join us in creating an exciting and successful event in 2010."
